Before I commit the next major sin,
My Lord,
Kill me
With your own Right Hand.
Do not give me so much freedom
that can enable me to set my back to You.
And so before my next suicide,
My Lord,
Kill me with your own Right Hand.
Bind me, O Lord, with the rope
Of Your Grace
And let it not be long enough
So as to allow me to go too far away
From your Right Hand.
And make my feet too short
Ta able to speed away from you
At an accelerated pace.
And kill me if I love a journey too far away
If, however, You show enough kindness
To let me taste another major sin
My Lord,
Then never let me die
Until You`ve completely forgiven me.
Surely the taste of sin
Is not sweeter
Than the taste of your grace.
